Wufei Chang
Wufei, as everyone calls him ('cause he'd chop them up in little bits if they didn't) is the rather obsessed Justice Warrior. What can I say? His tramatic childhood (it was actually only one even, but we'll get to that in a minute) has resulted in a warrior who fights so that the weak don't have to, and so that the weak who do fight can be shown the error of their ways. He believes that Women, children, and anyone on the other side from his, is weak, and will fight to prove it. In fact, that's about all he does. So, before I go blabbering on futher about nothing, let's take a look at the even that gave us this wonderful character.
Wufei is the leader of the Dragon Clan (from L5, an older colony) and, as such, was forced to marry young (very young) to Meiran, a very spirited young girl who wanted to fight all the time (you see where this is going, don't you) At that time, Wufei was a scholar, and believed in other ways of solving things. However, Meiran insisited on fighting him, and, perhaps surprisingly, he beat her easily. She was certainly surprised. Now, on our lovely colony of L5, there was a lovely field of flowers. One day this field was threatened by Mobile suits, and our young headstrong wife went out to fight them (to protect the flowers). Wufei, who had previously refused to fight in Shenglong, took it and went out to protect his wife. However, her suit took too many hits, and she died in his arms, proud that she had protected the flowers. Wufei then decided to go fight against the weak fighting (or doing much of anything) and named Shenglong after his wife, who prefered to be Nataku, the name of a (strong) goddess. So, off he went.
More Recent Past
Wufei is a lone wolf, and doesn't appear very much. However, he was present at the destruction of his colony (they commited suicide) which was a rather... memorable event. He is a soldier (apparently he's forgetten about the scholar bit) and fights whenever he can. He refuses to join Zechs in fighting against OZ, but eventually joins the other Gundam Pilots in the later eps to help against White Fang. He is confused by Heero's saving Relena tendancy's ("I guess I had him figured wrong." "Why?" "I had Heero figured to be the most sane of all of us.") And if that doesn't tell you what he thinks about women, nothing will.
"Nataku" as we'll call it, has been revised several times, but it has the same basic ideas. It sports a scorpion like tail gun, a trident (it has the same energy as a beam saber or Duo's Scythe) It also has a funky little thing that shoots out and "bites" whatever it attaches itself to, i.e. mobile suits. It might be called Dragon head or something to that effect. I don't know. I'm really not very good with Gundam weapons. Wufei also has his legenday katana, with which he threatens evil do-ers, or, presumably, people who interrupt his favorite shows. We'll never know.
